Hey there! It's Kierra James, CEO and Founder of House Capacity Publishing! I'd bet my prickly pinata that you're here because you're ready to take the next step in your authorship journey. To that I offer you a hearty "congratulations!" Writing a book is no simple feat, and if someone else is telling you how "easy" it is, they probably haven't written one (or a good one for that matter). I understand exactly what it's like to be in your position—maybe a first-time author navigating the self-publishing world and then finding out how overwhelming it can seem. Or maybe I'm assuming, and you've actually been in the self-publishing space for a while now but you're ready to do something different with your next book. Wherever you may be on your journey, I would love to have a conversation with you to determine how we can assist with bringing your book-vision to life!
On our call, we'll use our entire 45-60 minutes to discuss our services and to map out a plan for your book's release. We'll discuss a publishing package that I recommend based on your goals and your budget, and then you'll get to ask me all the questions your heart can pitch for the remainder of our time. Keep in mind, the meeting is virtual, so you can meet with me from anywhere in the world as long as you have internet access and a shirt (there was a shirtless situation, but that's all I'll say). I'm looking forward to connecting with you, so click that little blue button below and schedule your time slot!

I booked with Kierra expecting to talk about my "little book" but she gave me sooo many more things to consider and include. I can tell that she "does" this.

A creative author. A dedicated teacher. A prolific speaker. An impactful visionary. Kierra gave birth to House Capacity in 2015 as an indie author who successfully self-published her first book. Since self-publishing The Power of the Panties, Kierra has gained a wealth of knowledge in the publishing process and has also expanded her skill set to include marketing, author coaching, ghost-writing, content development, writing tutoring, website design and more. As a certified English teacher, Kierra has always had a passionate affair with written language, and her expertise is evident in every aspect of House Capacity Publishing.
Before I started House Capacity Publishing, I was an English teacher. Since high school, I had an obsession with the written word, and so I knew early on that I wanted to pursue a career where I could pursue my passion and inspire others to do the same. During my 5th year of teaching, I wrote and self-published my first book. It was a rookie launch for sure, but once I held a physical copy of my book in my hands for the first time, something sparked. I had done something that I hadn’t seen anybody else do before (at least no one I knew personally)—I self-published a book. Before long, many people approached me seeking advice and tips for publishing their own books. At first, I was not interested in taking on any publishing clients—I felt that I still had a lot of learning to do—but the requests still came.
In my spare time, I published books for friends and associates, and with every launch, more and more people began to reach out. Then I thought, “I could really make a business out of this!”
On February 15, 2017, I stepped away from my teaching career and plunged full force into the task of helping other authors self-publish. This desire eventually expanded to include author coaching, ghost-writing, marketing, and a span of other specialty services that assist authors in being successful in their respective genres.
